A Little Bit of 'Granny Chic'
See how I turned a thrifted cracked mirror in an ugly plastic gold frame into a lovely sewing room notice board.
The addition of a large vintage doily as a pocket and peg lines made this piece a practical and useful project that my Granny would be proud of.

The frame was painted with a homemade paint with a chalky finish and then antiqued for a vintage look.
The back board was covered with drop cloth.
Cotton tape measures were used as peg lines for pegging up photos and papers.
A large vintage doily was attached to the base board as a pocket and finished off with a lovely rhinestone button and silk ribbons.
