The wire I used is not coated and may get a little rust...but that is ok...I like that rustic look! You can buy plastic coated wire at the hardware store if you prefer.

Hardware stores sell different kinds of wire that doesn't rust...i.e. copper, aluminum. Will cost a bit more than regular wire.
