DIY Lamp Makeover With Faux Mercury Effect and a Bubble Burlap Shade

Easy
I have been working on a bedroom makeover and I really wanted some large mercury lamps with burlap shades, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money so I decided to make my own. It took some searching for the right size, but I finally found some lamps at Goodwill that where perfect for what I had in mind.

A simple update to an ugly Goodwill Brass lamp.
All you need is a lamp, water, Krylon Glass paint and black craft paint. I found my lamp at Goodwill for $5 and since the shape and price were perfect I couldn't pass it up.
The unique shade was created with some burlap bubbles that were attached to the lamp with a hot glue gun.
Doesn't this make a cute and unique lamp shade? I really love how it turned out.
