Here's another of my 'Fast, Cheap & Easy' TM tips for getting your decor on in a hurry...
All it takes are bandanas from the dollar store, some string, and clothespins to create a pennant banner for your party or backyard bash. Click through to the HOMEWARDfound blog to see more - including a fabulous cheat to create a backyard BAR for your with great for your !
*** EDITED TO ADD: To clarify for those who would be concerned, I used my treasured vintage American Flag from an old Chris Craft boat in this photo shoot. I displayed it hanging flat with the union on the viewers' left and it never touched the ground - as dictated by the flag code. After taking the photo I immediately removed it, folded it, and put it away. It was not used on a bar where food and drink were served. Nothing was sitting ON it at any time. The red and white striped table cover shown is a length of pieced yardage that was intended to be used in the making of flags, but never was. There are no stars on that piece and it is not a flag. I borrowed it from a friend.***

Deb @ homewardFOUND decor on Jun 28, 2013Thank you both! I think Patriotism is good any time, but summer just seems to be made for this palette and for stars & stripes!
