Having a glass insert in our front door became a problem with Bruce came to live with us. He loves to jump up and look out, but I was afraid he'd break the glass and get hurt.
Adding a pair of vintage shutters to the inside of the door was a great fix and helped with privacy and summer heat, too.

The shutters are beautiful and so is Bruce. I have a big boy pittie mix (100 lbs) who lives in harmony with our cats, loves people and other dogs. He's a gentle giant and incredibly loving. These dogs get such a bad rep when they're really wonderful animals who adore their human families.
