Somebody's gonna be eatin good this summer!! I could quite easily become a vegetarian when all the fresh vegetables are in season!! Looks great, very neat, tidy & organized. You must have a few critters that like it too since you have it fenced off. I would think raccoons or 'possoms and whatever else you have in MO. could squeeze through or just climb over - NO? Clearly, you do have things under control and it looks beautiful!!

Meg you might want to post this separetly as it's own question. I've found from experience that when you piggy-back onto another post - even though it's still part of the same subject, it tends to get lost in the shuffle. Also pics would be helpful for the pros to see.

Bugs & plant parasites aren't my area of expertise but have you taken them out of the pots they came in and planted them yet? If they're still in original containers take one out and look thru ...»

the soil - you might have gotten a batch w/an infestation of some sort. Try mixing a couple of drops of dish detergent with water in a spray bottle and spray them well - especially underneath. Worth a try. Good Luck!!

It is amazing what an 1/2 of rain water will do( the first in 33 days), well water just not the same. But we are going to have to go back to it.... it sure is dry.

Oh.....you've got thistles too! I'll be over to help you eat your artichokes if your harvest is overwhelming. We've been in drought too; so I know how you feel. Your garden looks great in spite of the lack of wonderful rain.
