With spring in full swing, I have spent the past month displaying all the wonderful gardening items I have created or collected over the winter.
I love the garden theme!
So on our last flea market trip to Springfield, Ohio I knew I was looking for something else for the garden.
I found these small terra cotta pots lying under a table in a booth.
Gotta love when something you're looking for is neglected off to the side!
The price was right so I grabbed the bag full!

I knew I wanted to white wash and stencil a couple of the pots.
First up I scrubbed the pots to get off all the hardened dirt and to allow for a clean surface for the white wash.
Once the pots dried I used Fusion Mineral Paint in Champlain for the white wash.
Next up I added the flower petals using the Potting Shed Stencil I have from Funky Junk's Old Sign Stencils.
Simple, fun, DIY, that you could also do with your kids during summer break.
Enjoyed the project?
