Chris on Jun 14, 2016It looks like a farmhouse sink to the right of the photo. Add a piece of barnboard that has been sealed with an epoxy finish to make it waterproof., Glue with a waterproof glue and screw to the 1x2 and fill in the screw holes.Helpful Reply

Leisa Yeager on Jun 14, 2016If you painted molding white and add pulls to the drawers it might just do the trick on limited budget. Might have to caulk a bit...good luckHelpful Reply

Ranger on Jun 14, 2016You can buy a variety of almost 'stick on' mouldings (well, you can here in NZ). Any good store with a household fittings section (ie bathroom, kitchen, plumbing etc) should be able to help and give advice.Helpful Reply

William on Jun 15, 2016I have commented that there was a problem with the install. I have been mulling this in my mind. The problem is the sink you have is a surface mount sink. Its made to sit on top of the counter -hence the lip "photo 1. Under counter mount sinks have no lip -"photo 2. You used a surface mount sink and installed it as a under mount sink, that is why you have the gap between the counter and cabinet that you covered with a 1X. Best solution I have is to get some edge tiles to cover the counter and 1X on the front. Use mastic to glue on the edging and painters tape to hold it in place till the glue dries. You could also use foam wood look trim instead of tile edging.Helpful Reply
