The Raised Garden I Designed and My Hubby Built

We constructed this beautiful garden with landscaping logs purchased from our local lumber yard. We covered existing grass with landscaping cloth and built the sections over the cloth. We hauled in a few ton of dirt ...oops not "we" ...my hubby of 85 years going on 50 did. Filled the sections and added a layer of green compost and turned it in. Planted it and voila...we have a garden. The arch and the rhubarb, daisies and clematis were put in a few years ago with the intension of a garden beyond it.
This section has radishes, spinach, beets, carrots, and rutabagas in the rows and zucchini squash at the end closest.
The galvanized tubs have rainbow Swiss chard and red kale for garden center pieces.

You may be surprised that the rabbits show up even at those heights....hasn't stopped them in my yard...however, I live a couple of miles from a chemical waste disposal site so maybe the rabbits eating in my garden are HUGE! Nice job on your garden!

@Lisa House Mainly we built it this height so that I don't have to get on m y hand sand knees to plant, I am in my 70's and getting down and back up again is getting difficult even though I keep myself physically fit. I love gardening and this has been a dream come true for me. My doggies keep the rabbits out of the yard, so I have no problems with that.
