Colorful Eclectic Vintage Living Room

Our home is full of color and pattern. We mix the old with the new, as well as repurpose thirfted finds and create artwork ourselves.
Our couch is the only new piece of furniture that we own. Everything else was given to us, thrifted and painted by me or created by us.
This beauty is one of my faves. It was given to us by an older couple at our church. I'm not sure of the age, but the previous owner said that it belonged to his grandmother so I'm guessing mid to late 1800s. I painted it a pretty aqua and added some scrapbook paper to the top drawer fronts to add some whimsy and personality. It holds our blankets and throws. I also happen to inherit her brother, which sits in our dinning room. :) To the right of the dresser is a vintage sewing basket that my mom gave to me and to the left is a vintage child's chair that I thrifted and painted yellow.
I found this awesome trunk at a local thrift store. It had been spray painted burgundy....which was promptly re-painted it. In the background is a large vintage globe that I scored at goodwill for $8.
My parents gave us this armoire when we got married. I painted it yellow and removed the bottom doors to reveal the shelves. The top shelf displays an owl from my collection and a vintage suitcase. The bottom shelf hold a couple of my grandmother's quilts and a few other nick-knacks.
I made the pillows on the couch with various vintage and modern fabrics.
This cabinet was a gift from my husband. I painted it and change out the hardware. It holds our dvds and music perfectly. The white folding chair I picked up at goodwill for $5.
The corner shelf was my grandmother's and holds some more of my treasures. I made the artist board collage using my husband's artist board from college.
This lovely I picked up at a garage sale fro $10. I knew immediately when I saw what her purpose would be. :) The vintage crate below holds quilts that I have made and thrifted blankets.
