With all of the horrible events happening in our world today, it's important to remember that peace and love are stronger than hatred. I made this DIY Peace Sign Wreath to hang on my door to share my hope that, ultimately, love will prevail.
I started with an unfinished wood peace sign. I hammered metal thumbtacks all around it to add some dimension.
Next, I painted it gray (chalky finish paint), and then topped the gray with a light blue chalky finish paint. I also painted an unfinished wood heart red.
I attached the heart to the peace sign with leather cording that I found in the jewelry section of the craft store.
Next, I strung some wooden beads to leather cording. Then I stapled that cording to the back of the peace sign.
Finally, I hung my peace sign wreath to my back door. Every time I see it I feel happy. I really love it!
