Carol M on May 24, 2012I have been grouting a bathroom that has the same problem. The owner of the house started the grouting job and quite messed it up (grout on the face of the tiles). He assures me that he will use a buffer to get the grout off. Not sure how this work. We will see if the buffing scratches the tiles.Helpful Reply

Rhonda G on May 24, 2012I actually wetted it down with water and a clean rag; then used a plastic knife to gently scrape it off..came off easily.Helpful Reply

Carol C on May 25, 2012I agree with Rhonda G. I would however use a razor blade. If it's ceramic, doubt that the razor blade would hurt it and I think it would come off faster.Helpful Reply

Priscilla E on Jun 06, 2012Use a scotchgard scrubber that is recommended to not scrape things. Something ruff will ruin the tile surface. I believe in viniger and water for cleaning tiles and laundry too.Helpful Reply

William Tillis on Feb 03, 2015Your grout may be cement based or it may be a composition grout out of a can. I would contact the nearest tile wholesaler for manufacturers recommendations. There are some methods that can damage the surface of certain tiles.Helpful Reply
