Did you ever notice how dried allium looks exactly like fireworks? Look no further than your garden for this fun and fast 4th of July decoration.
Locate your spray paint. If you're like me, there are always plenty of colors on hand.
Gently pull the allium from the ground. You want as much stem as possible so that you can cut them to the length you need.
Wearing disposable gloves to protect your hands from the paint, spray on color, turning the plant to cover all areas with paint. You may want to slide a BBQ skewer into the bottom of the stem so that you can paint all the way to the end of the stem. You will need a place to dry each globe so that the paint dries perfectly. I used a 5 gallon bucket.
It's that simple. You can use the "fireworks" to dress up an existing planter.
They look great in a vase in your house.

Just wanted you to know I loved this so much that I did it last year for the 4th, then I planted allium so I could do this for any occasion, and then I took it a step further and painted a "vase" full the colors of my living room! Thanks for the inspiration!
