I would convert it into a potting bench if using outdoors, or a bathroom vanity, if using indoors

It would be a great child's desk chair with school/art supplies in it or as a n entry way bench with storage for mittens and hats

I tend to agree with Taylor It looks like it would make any child happy. Paint it up and put some rubber stoppers on the lid so children can't get hurt.

I would sand it down then varnish it up nicely and use it to store shoe's or things for the dog e.g. the lead, hiking bag, balls etc.

This little bench is adorable. Clean it up and either sand it down and re-stain and varnish it or paint it. You can wet cloth in half water and half white Elmer's glue and put it on the inside. It would be a great place for toys or even throws and blankets. I would love one this size at the foot of my bed.

Wow. Great piece. I'd clean it up - NOT paint it - and have it in my kitchen to keep potatoes in. Maybe make a burlap cushion for the bench seat...

Please don't paint it.....sand, re-stain & seal it. It is a beauty.

Decoupage the back and around the base. Then paint the seat a color in the napkins.

It would make a fantastic storage space for shoes and you can sit on the bench while you're putting them on. I would recommend only painting the seat, maybe a cream color and restaining the rest. I think wood looks great with a touch of white like the picture below.

Depends where you are going to use the bench. You can coordinate with the room. For example, for a kids room, maybe stain the top seat, and paint the others parts. For an entrance, could be stained only.
