Why do we not see more Crepe myrtles growing in Southern California?
-
James A on Mar 04, 2011The Common Crape myrtle from China and Korea, was introduced circa 1790 to Charleston, South Carolina, in the United States by the French botanist Andre Michaux. This would explain why there are so many in the South. But as for San Diego might be the proximity of the ocean and the salty Pacific winds.Helpful Reply
