Simply Framed

Amongst the items I saved from my childhood is a letter written to me from my maternal grandfather in 1968. Although only 8th grade educated, he had beautiful handwriting. With a spare frame and some scrapbooking paper, I have a display piece in my living room which means a great deal to me.

Joyce on Jul 15, 2013I love this idea! Thank you so much for renewing my desire to do something special with some letters I have from my Dad before I could write [my Mom would write what I wanted to say] and soon after I was able to! After he passed away I was able to get the ones I had wrote to him. I also have some from my precious Grandmother she wrote to me. She did not spell very good ,she spelt it the way it sounded to her at the time :) so each time was an 'adventure" in reading them. My children got a big kick out of trying to "decipher" them! :)
