Installing a Paper Bag Floor Over Concrete Leveler

This was an old bathroom floor that needed concrete leveler before the new paper bag floor could be installed. Also used black RIT dye to create a beautiful black floor that looks like black leather

  • We had a tiled floor that was on top of a pine plank floor. So we removed the tile and first put a a sealer down. We then put a concrete leveler on top of the sealer and the proceeded with the paper bag treatment. I did not use any glue when applying the paper bag treatment...only polyurethane. Is there a closet or other area whRere you could do a test area to see if works before you commit to the entire room? Just to be on the safe side. Let me know what you decide and how it turns out, @Rachelle

I have been reading a lot and I think what I am going to try, in a closet, like you suggested, a small area, is sealing the concrete, putting a leveller over it, then the paper. I haven't read anywhere else about only using the polyurethane without the glue. @4YouWithLove did you add a stain to the poly or stain it after? I have read both ways. I am thinking it would be easier to add it to the poly, but then it may not turn out as nice??? I will have to go back and read our blog again and again. :) thanks!
