How To Paint Plastic Furniture

Painting plastic furniture, bins, trash cans, etc. isn’t that much different than painting any other type of furniture, except for a few things.
Sanding Doesn’t Really Work – You can’t really sand plastic. If you want to scuff up the surface a little for extra adhesion, you can use a really fine grit, like 320-400 grit sandpaper. But plastic doesn’t take well to sanding, it just kind of chips, peels. Click the link below to read more.

Betty Mac on Apr 08, 2015I painted two old plastic chairs in a bright yellow. Then I positioned them in my flower bed and put several potted plants on and around them. (My husband hated that colour at first but finally decided that they looked "alright" in the dark corner of the yard.) I had several compliments from my little DIY. I also put several LED lights in the flower beds as well so they "came to life" when the stars came out.
