Douglas Hunt on Jul 15, 2013I don't think it's a good idea to try to keep a shrub at half the size it wants to be.

Karen Worlock on Feb 23, 2014I have a Weigela that is probably 18 years old. I have never pruned it, It is 5 ft. tall and as wide or wider., It is away from all other trees and shrubs. When it blooms it is beautiful. Flowers are bright tangerine color. It will sometimes spit blooms all spring long. Bunnies love to live in it. Do not prune the form when you let it go is fantastic. Plant where it has room to spread to its natural growth.
