Patricia W on Aug 26, 2013Im doing this on an antique dressing table. The filigree are made from wood and oh so beautiful! I did a couple layers of CP,( my own blend) and sanded it back a bit. Much to my surprise there was original gold paint under the white that the previous owner had painted the solid cedar piece. I found gold paint on the mirror frame, and sexy legs of the dressing table. Im using Vaseline on as much of the gold as I can find. The piece will be a pearl grey ( kelly green and black mixed with a light grey based latex mis match gallon of paint I got for 3 bucks) I cannot wait to finish it!
