4th of July Table Centerpiece

With the Fourth of July coming up, I really wanted to come up with a great centerpiece for my table. I decided to decoupage some styrofoam balls.
This is such a quick project and it won't break the bank.
Ms. Vicki found these paper napkins for me at TJ Maxx and I picked up some styrofoam balls for the project.
I used 1gel for the project. You can find out all about it in the blog post, but I prefer it over Mod Podge. It isn't quite as thick, so there are fewer air bubbles, plus it leaves a great topcoat, too. There is also a great coupon in the post for this, as well.
All of the detailed instructions for covering the balls are in the post, so be sure to check them out. I have some amazing tips for cutting the napkins ahead of time. Once covered, let them dry completely.
Once they were finished, I threw them into a bread bowl and now I have a beautiful arrangement. This is such a fun project and even the kids can get involved!
Enjoyed the project?
Suggested materials:

April Monaco on Jul 06, 2016You can always cover the spot for the balloon after...I love that idea and combined with cloth instead of paper they will hold up better to keep them store them in a wreath or ornament container like you would any delicate ornament.
