What about using a large wide tooth comb in a drawer to separate and protect the blades

You can buy a knife holder that fits in a drawer. They sell them at many home stores, discount shops etc. If you're RV is in motion, you should probably choose something to keep the knives in place rather than something that will allow them to slip and slide around.

We had a small trailer camper for years and I did a lot of cooking . I made sleeves for my knives from paper towel tubes.

We use a round cup with bristles. Think it is called a universal knife block. Just set it in the cabinet when ready to roll!

I love these. I like them because they free up my limited drawer space. I use the adhesive tape they supply with the product and have NEVER had one fall off the wall/cabinet in the heat or cold extremes that rvs can frequently endure. The only negative is ta couple of my biggest knives do not fit the slots. I nestle the big ones in a slot next to my flatware storage dividers. I also line ALL my rv cupboards/drawers and shelves with thick yoga matting cut to fit. I tack it down with thumb tacks. It works wayyyy better at keeping things from sliding around when moving.

wusthoff offers a nice in drawer knife holder on Amazon. There are also less expensive options from other companies.
