Our Carpeted Garden

Disgarded carpet works great for 'mulch' to keep the weeds out of your garden! Place it between rows because it's gentle on your knees when you do have to pull a few weeds between plants. A great way to recycle!

Cathy C on Aug 24, 2013you might also try your local tree trimming services.... I used to work for one and we used to just take the wood from the chippers and dump it in several places designated for it. If you talk to them and they're close enough they might be willing to dump a truck load at your place or they might direct you to their dumping area so you can get it yourself.
