Growing Botanicals for My Homemade Vegan Soaps

Apple peel, parsley, peppermint, lavender, lemon peel, orange peel, rosemary, etc. are all botanicals I use in the various vegan soap recipes I make. I grow many of them in our backyard, with the exception of oranges and lemons. Here are a few. The blog post link is to my tutorial on making homemade soap.
Lavender, growing in a pot on our deck and later moved indoors to the window seat for the winter.
Rosemary, grown outdoors in the summer and then potted and taken indoors for the winter. In this photo, it's being dehydrated to use in my Rosemary Mint Vegan Soap.
Good grief, does Peppermint spread quickly! It is delicious, but must be confined or it will take over your garden. This peppermint will also be dehydrated, used in my Peppermint Tea Vegan Soap and also for fake mint juleps. :-)
We have a window seat in front of a south-facing window, where the herbs live during the winter.
Parsley and lavender. I want to try to expand my lavender crop next year. It's a little difficult to winter it over in our climate and barely survives on the window seat in the winter. Lavender for Lavender Bud Vegan Soap.
Just after the little herb (and hosta) garden was planted this spring, outside my kitchen door. I have a couple of these areas - some planted directly in the ground and some set out in pots. I love having herbs for cooking and soap!
Rosemary Mint Natural Vegan Soap - just to picture a few of my homemade vegan soaps and the herbs used.
Frosted Apple Spice Vegan Soap - all natural base oils, no additives or preservatives, natural colorants, botanicals. Apple peel from my ancient McIntosh apple tree.
Morning Brew Coffee Soap for the Kitchen (helps remove food odors). Contains ground coffee for exfoliation. Unfortunately, I don't grow coffee here in NW Wisconsin! :-)
Peppermint Tea All-natural vegan soap. Peppermint from my herb garden!
