Update on My Cottage Mailbox Garden

This morning my clematis bloomed again, and I was so excited that I thought I would share a few more pictures of my cottage mailbox garden.
Other than the clematis, a few of my favorite plants are the three colors of coneflower (purple, yellow and white), the coreopsis and that dusty white tall stuff that my neighbor gave me about a month ago. I’m not sure what she called it but it must be hardy, because I transplanted it when the thermometer read mid-90s and it seems to be doing just fine.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve already returned a few dead or dying daisies and lavender to their stores, because they just didn’t thrive in their respective spots. This is why I always try to save the receipts for my live purchases. Most of the home and garden or big box stores will guarantee their plants for a certain period of time, so returning a bum flower might be a good option.

Small Talk Mama on Jul 18, 2013Thank you so much. I hope the neighborhood (including the postal carrier) get a bit of enjoyment out of it -- I know I do.
