Therese C on Jul 20, 2013Ron look at old school hardware stores for a product called Soilex. It is incredible at cleaning paneling. Mix it with water..it will turn green...wash the paneling down (no rinse needed) and when the water is longer greenish, change the water for fresh and go again. It usually only takes one time over and it will be clean.Helpful Reply

Libby @ Artistic Expressions by Elisabeth on Jul 20, 2013I moved into a home built in the 60s that had knotty pine in 3 spaces. When I initially cleaned it, I used Murphy Oil Soap but to maintain it, I use something like Orange Glo. I get one of those cheap sponge mops and cut that plastic flap off of it and use it to apply the cleaner. Much easier on the back. Works like a charm. HTHHelpful Reply

Sherrie on Jul 21, 2013If it is sealed with a polyurethane the cleaners you use could create damage or dull the surface. You also need to dry it after you clean it so water doesn't create more damage such as buckling.Helpful Reply

Kathy Doyle on May 28, 2015I take an old hand towel and safety pin it on/over a broom. Spray the towel with whatever dusting; cleaning mix you want to use. I do not use a Swiffer duster. My sister did that to make it easier than the towel. She then had to remove fuzzes from the Swiffer duster. so watch out for rough wood. Towel worked fantasticHelpful Reply
