I discovered an old roll of the vintage, original wallpaper in my grandparent's 1967 Ranch house that I'm flipping. Instead of using it as wallpaper, I repurposed it into easy, cheap wall art!

Step 1: Using 2 mismatched 50 cent frames and a roll of the vintage wallpaper, I was ready to start. You could just buy new matching frames, but I liked the shape of these, and I liked that they were mismatched because it seemed more authentically homey.
Step 2: Using leftover blue paint from my front door makeover (check out my blog for that transformation!), I created a "blue wash." I added water to a bowl and then just added a little bit of paint. I thoroughly mixed the water and paint together.
Step 3: I used more leftover paint, white chalk paint, from my front door makeover and painted each frame white. Once the paint was dried, I applied the wash.
Step 4: I wiped off any excess wash. The blue wash created a shabby chic appearance with just the slight hint of blue popping through at the creases.
Step 5: I cut the wallpaper into the size of the frame openings and inserted it into the frames.
I loved the final result! This little project reminds me so much of my Grandma because this wallpaper hung for years in her kitchen, and, now, with this little project, the wallpaper will continue to hang in her kitchen.
