It just isn't summertime, if you don't kick ofF your shoes and swing in the breeze under a shady old tree, but I lacked a swing, so I quickly created one in about 1 hour. You may want to make two of them, so you can swing with your sweetie! To make your own, you'll just need: a board a drill for the 4 holes paint rope Visit the Knick of Time blog for the full details - http://knickoftime.net/2013/07/diy-old-fashioned-wooden-swing.html

Patricia W on Jul 22, 2013My 9 year old grandson constructed one in March. He did all of the cutting, sanding, drilling and my son helped hang it in our Sweet Gum tree in the front yard. It gets alot of use! I love looking out and seeing one of the grandkids swinging!
