RED Side Table Before & After - Not Just an Accent Color!

Not many will use red paint on furniture, but my new Facebook friend, Maria LaBelle, sure did. The table below started out as a boring old piece of nondescript.
Maria added her artistic touch to the table and created a much better look with homemade chalk paint.
The top was a challenge because of the uneven stain but Java Gel by General Finishes came to the rescue.
Maria describes her process:
She made her own red chalk paint by mixing Sherwin Williams HGTV sun-ried tomato red and calcium carbonate. Flipping furniture doesn't have to be difficult or expensive. This one got new life because Maria was not afraid to try out a color that most wouldn't dare to try.
If you would like to try your hand at creating an amazing piece like this one, get your free PDF of 4 chalk paint recipes including directions and a comparison, by visiting Love My DIY Home at the link below:

Sue T on Aug 28, 2016I love this red, and I would like an even darker red too. I use red a lot in my house and Really like having it in several places, some walls, some pieces of furniture, accent pieces (pillows etc)... And I wear a lot of red. This piece speaks to me! Great job~~~Thanks for sharing.
