This belongs in a magazine. Seriously, I browse inspirational garden photos a lot. Your exterior looks like one of them.

Thanks - my house is 100 years old this year. I have lived here 30 years, and love coming home from work everyday.

Rebecca - Yes, most people do not know that. House is pretty original inside, with an original wall cupboard in the kitchen, and original corner cupboards and wains coating in the dining room. All oak woodwork that has never been painted. Don't have a lot of land only a little over an acre. I also have an old country store on my property. It is a 1.5 sty building with the original chestnut counters and some shelving in it. I am told it operated until the 1930's. When we first moved ...»
here there were a lot of old timer's with stories to tell about coming here and spending their days visiting with each other. Now very few people remember it. Use it mostly for storage, picnics, and every year I have my girlfriend garden party and invite my friends.

Wow Connie............perfect country house! Tons of mums, but

your other landscaping works so well with it all to create the look you're going for. I SEE YOUR FOUNTAIN............perfectly placed for appreciation.

Connie W, with a house like yours, you need to get a tape recorder and have some of the old timers give you stories about the house, the old store and the area. Did you know that that is how the books "Little House on the Prairie" came from. Your place is beautiful!
