This is one of my projects that went viral - with good reason! There is something so intriguing about these spheres, and this one is particularly beautiful. Consider this; it's made from panty hose, coiled around inside the wire globe, and planted with many hardy succulents (mostly Sempervivum) which thrive - I parked it in the corner of the garden for the winter, where it could be undisturbed, and it's paying it forward over and over...

Nancy on May 13, 2015You deserve the Green Tumb Award. Creative and fun idea. Thank you for the inspiration. I can't wait to adapt this. i have an antique wire basket from the 1930's. Its always been too big to put anywhere in my home. I can't wait to do this for my yard. It will be very heavy so i may use a vermiculite mix.
