EmDirr @ DustandDoghair.com on Jul 17, 2016Not sure if you have a wood panel underneath the upholstery, but if you do and it's thick enough you can actually use small screws and washers, then glue the button on afterward.Helpful Reply

MN Mom on Jul 17, 2016The button should be the type with a shank on the back. You need to hook your upholstery thread though that shank and then pull the button taut and tie it off on the backside of the piece.Helpful Reply

R1335MB1 on Jul 18, 2016shank buttons heavy thread doubled bring thread from back through shank back down to back. have someone push the button from front or if you can do it no help needed. theres always wood around the edge, staple thread tight with 3 or 4 staplesHelpful Reply

Marilyn Zaruba on Jul 23, 2016I was going to say the same thing Katrina said. It might just be an illusion. You can only pull that thread so taut and if there isn't enough poofiness, you can't fix it. Actually, I think it looks just fine.Helpful Reply
