How to attach crates from Michaels

Jean Myles on Jul 17, 2016Not knowing what crates from Michaels you are using it is difficult to say for sure. If they are solid you can screw through the back right into the stud in the wall.Helpful Reply

Faye Campbell on Jul 18, 2016If there's any weight to the crates you have to secure them into the wooden wall studs. If you tap the wall and it sounds hollow...no stud there. If you tap the wall and there is a dead sound, you located a stud. Or use a stud finder. If you live in a condo the studs are metal so this system doesn't work.Helpful Reply

B. Enne on Jul 21, 2016I attached a wall-mounted medicine cabinet with heavy-duty L-brackets. As previously mentioned. I put the top ones which were not visible on the outside back of the cabinet, and inside at the bottom, so they would not be visible. You can also just screw the crates into the wall, as suggested. Just make sure to find studs, use longer wood screws, and washers to prevent them from going through the wood. You could also use cleats.Helpful Reply
