We live on 10 acres and the yard gets muddy, so we put in some flower beds around the house and decided this year to make pathways.
Made the flowerbeds on each side last year and planted perennial flowers along the sides...this year we laid down landscaping fabric after weeding all the grass and weeds out...then laid the blocks on a light base of sand and put the blocks on a diagonal pattern, then put down pea pebbles in between the pavers. So far this summer it's held up nicely and we no longer get muddy going to our yard storage unit which is against the house. In the process of making other sidewalks/paths out of scalloped edging/straight edge, pavers, and or landscaping bricks (on the right side of the walkway.
