Jeanette S on Jul 25, 2013Be careful with Vinegar because it will kill a lot of plants. For misquotes, we use a mixture of half and half lemon flavored ammonia and lemon flavored dish-washing liquid...put in sprayer and spray until no more bubbles and then refill. Be sure and spray underneath bushes. We spray every week for 3 weeks and then about every other week for a month and then once a month. This may work on fruit flies. Worth a try! Some folks do not like any chemicals but sometimes you just have to use them!Helpful Reply

Cynthia Freeney on Jul 25, 2013We made little traps like this one. http://www.theidearoom.net/2009/09/fruit-fly-trap.html They work beautifully. Only we used cheap wine instead of a piece of fruit.Helpful Reply
