Thrift Store Upcycle - Fixer Upper Style

3 Materials
Farmhouse style is all the rage right now, but I think it is a style that can last a lifetime. If you have ever watched an episode of Fixer Upper, you know that Chip and Joanna seem to have the magic touch for pulling the look together!
I love adding touches of country farmhouse style to our home, but don't want to break the budget! I came across a photo of a mason jar holder from the second season of Fixer Upper and knew I could get a lot of use out of something similar! You can see the original picture I found on the blog - just follow the link below!

I came across this broken butter box and and almost passed it up, but figured it was an easy fix. I wasn't sure if canning jars would fit, so I picked up these little milk bottles that fit perfectly.
I added a piece of flexible metal to create a handle by screwing it in to either end. It is about 3/4" wide.
It turned out the milk bottles had too much height, and while I couldn't fit 4 canning jars in, three fit perfectly!
I clipped a random bunch of flowers from my garden and arranged them in the jars.
And now I have a Fixer Upper style ball jar holder that I can use not only on the dining table, but on the mantel, coffee table, or even the kitchen to hold cutlery!
Suggested materials:
