Sarah Crankshaw on Jul 27, 2016Concrete. It can be done in a thin layer over the formica. The only inhalation concern is from the powder and sealants. It should go well with a rustic look and be fairly inexpensive. Kathy Bitzan on Jul 27, 2016Actually I like the counter top. Is it damaged? I would maybe paint the cabinet to make it look a little better or closer to what you want. I have also seen someone use contact paper in the kitchen, around water I didn't think it would work but it held up pretty well with some extra care taken with sitting water.Helpful Reply

Lisa hudspeth on Aug 07, 2016best product i ever used found online was Daich products countertop epoxy paint with ground up stone mixed in. i used beige w/ back, white, red flecks but i think they have blsck granite look. i used on formica and ceramic tile backsplash comes with 3 cans..base paint, stone 2nd ciat that u sand and clear rock hard top coat. not a fast fix but worth every minute. i didnt notice bad fumes but ALL paint has some smell. open windows use a portable fan and if. necessary mask or respirator...which u can rentHelpful Reply
