Have you heard of a naked lampshade? Sometimes called a ghost shade... It is just the shade form itself. Nothing else.

I hope you are using Edison bulbs somewhere in your home. They are awesome but really amazing paired with a naked shade.

They are awesome and the light isn't harsh at all.

I love those light bulbs. We have dated {to me} yellow globes in the chandeliers and sconces in our cabin. I would love to replace the globes with just the old styled lights.
