How to get acrylic paint off of a cotton shirt?

My daughter got bright green acrylic paint on her favorite shirt today. Any suggestions for a tried and tested way to get it off?

Try dabbing some rubbing alcohol or hair spray that contains alcohol on to the spot.

I use Goof Off. Just do not use on all polyester...it might melt it.
