Hi Friends! I have a simply chic Coastal DIY Home Decor Project to share today. Where do you get inspiration from? Pinterest, friends, homegoods, nature? Honestly, this candle holder project just sorta happened. I was playing around in my garage with taper candles, china plates and bowls and I glued the two pieces below together 🙂 I’ll show you what I did with all my taper candles later…

Step 1: like I mentioned about was to glue these pieces together.. Did I take a picture of this? yeah.. no… but look at step 2 🙂

Step 2: wrap twine around the two pieces… I like it at this point, but felt it needed a little something extra.

Does anyone else like to sit outside and work on projects?? I feel so relaxed out there. The dog is happy, I’m happy…The citronella candle is burning, so it hopefully keeps the mosquito’s away

Step 3: I found a base for this diy home decor project.. guess where? Big Lots:) and yes.. I forgot to take a before picture of it. I again wrapped it with twine and then attached the above project to it…

I was sorta multitasking at this point. if you follow me on facebook.. you can by clicking on this link. SimplyChicGirl I was having a slight problem with my miter saw.. the blade needed adjusted and it wasn’t 100% straight.. so my neighbor’s nephew was next door visiting and since I asked ever so nicely, he spent about an hour helping with that and explaining what I need to do in the futre if it happens again.. Miter saw 101.

Simple things really do make me happy.

Gee, I must be really slow today but I'm confused! You show 2 brass candlesticks and say you glued them together (??) but I don't see a photo showing that OR are you meaning you glued 1 brass AND 1 glass candleholder together?? I hope you can "un-confuse" (a new word) me today!!

I took my time and wrapped it slowly.. I used glue to E6000 glue to hold it together.
