Vintage Cowboy and Indian Mantel

My dad's 1950's Straight Arrow game was the inspiration for a Cowboy and Indian themed mantel. I love doing themed mantels, especially when I can use vintage things from my family.
My dad's childhood drum looks great on the mantel.

I am so lucky that my family members kept so many things and that they kept them in beautiful condition. I'll bet that if my dad and grandmother were alive, they'd be thrilled that I'm still enjoying these things.

Love your mantel. It brings back lots of memories of my brothers when we were young. I also have a sewing basket like yours and it has crocheted flowers on the top. Faded now, so I've topped it with a big silk rose lapel pin. I'm glad to know the time period for the basket.
