New Kitchen Backsplash

Soon after buying this house in Nov.,'04, we started remodeling the kitchen. It went from a U shape, with 1 entrance/exit, ---to a center island---LOTS more room! We lost the 'bar' area, but, gained so much more workspace. This old Florida home has terrazo floors {now covered in Bruce Brand Laminate}{personally, I miss the ease of cleaning the terrazo!}.

This was the last remodeling project I got to do together with my husband, before he had a stroke.

    oh, also, you can see where we switched from green to brown counters, and I tiled the center island.

    Very nice! I love the under counter lighting. I think the switch from green to brown was good choice.

    I do love browns. We had done the green a few years back, to match with the original backsplash. {It was in 3 shades of green, tiny mosaic tiles, from the 60's.---Wish I'd gotten a "Before" photo!}

    Is the new countertop laminate? I have similar cabinets and need to update. I like this look alot.
