Thanks, Susan! Yeah, my hubby affectionately calls our house the 3 bedroom 3 bath kitchen.
You just sent me on quite the blast from the past trip looking for pics of our old kitchen. Believe it or not I don't have any, really. I have pictures of birthday parties with people in the kitchen but you can't really see it.
Thank you for the sweet words! And, yes, it is hard to tear myself away. I actually moved my

computer to the kitchen table. So I really never do leave it!
Y'all are making me blush! Thank you so much for all of the fabulous comments!
Hi Susan, It's 13.5x13.5 When we remodeled our house the kitchen was the number one room I wanted to design myself. And I got everything I wanted. Much to our contractor's chagrin. He wanted granite countertops, no wood, central island with the cooktop in the island. Not my style at all. I was also able to squeeze in a walk in pantry (with a window) and a laundry room (with another

window).
We actually have a pretty small house for 5 humans, a Great Dane and an Irish Setter. Under 2400sf just 3 miles north of DT Austin.
My pantry. It's too small to take a really good picture but I think you get the idea. I think my pantry is possibly my favorite room in the house because no one messes with it. It stays organized or it's all my fault. And we have a full freezer and ice maker in there. I have dreamed about this kitchen for many a year. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
@ Sue F: pssst - I kinda wondered the same thing. Everything else is sooo perfection personifide - but evidently the tops can been seen from an upper level - we're just sayin . . . Yeah - and the height is what????
I thought about adding a fridge or freezer to my pantry but worried about the heat created from the appliance having an effect on the food storage. I keep my potatoes, onions, garlic in there along with packaged, canned foods and kitchen ware. LOVE my pantry too!
@Sue and @Susan Ok, Y'all found my Achilles heal. Right after the workers left my husband noticed the top of the cabinets. I just couldn't do it any more. So one day we will have finished cabinet tops. One Day!
@Sharon The pantry is air conditioned and heated. But I keep my onions and taters in the bottom of tall cabinet with the plate slots.

The height is 20' at the peak.
Dang. I really need to finish those cabinet tops this summer. Now it's bugging me! You know how you just glaze over after awhile?
@Lianna - LOL ;~) Oh, I do feel your pain. Yes, there are times that you've just done all ya can do and ya just can't dooooo NO MO!!! I know you'll get 'er dun - just don't forget to post pics and go Nannie naa naa naa naa!! (or how ever THAT is spelled)
Cans on their sides - guess that one escaped me. We sure don't miss much though - do we?? You think of all of us here in HT land when you're in there cookin up a storm!!
Does grease settle on the picture? I have found no matter what kind of overhead fan we have, grease just settles up above on everything and has to be cleaned...
@Betty the shelving is normal shelving with an added lip on the front. But I put the back peg (the pegs that hold the shelf in place) one hole higher than the front peg. Does that make sense?
@Jyn yes grease does get on everything! Having said that that pairing is 12'(?) up. I haven't found that grease gets up that high. Even the clock to the right, which is lower, doesn't get grease on it. Maybe my "Vent-ahood" is a good one? Don't know. Sure is loud enough! Ha!

I thought of all of you all day yesterday cooking the gagillion meals for my family. Since the kids are home for summer seems all I do is cook. But you know what, I don't mind so much!
Have a great one. Glad I found this site! It rocks!
You are so right! I fry MINIMALLY, which is probably a good thing in the long run. My eldest 2 are at summer camp for a week. I may sound crazy but this house is entirely TOO quiet with only 5 kids hanging around!!! Thanks for the reply!
Wow that's one tall wall-20'?!?! My living room peaks at 14 and that's a pain to paint. I can't imagine 20'. Hope you like the green for a looongg time, lol.
