An evil little white butterfly lays an egg in the developing flower bud, hatches out, and takes the color of the flower it eats. really loves geraniums and petunias. BT(Bacillius thuringesis) and Neem oil work and are considered organic and harmless to the good garden bugs

Lisa Gage on Jul 11, 2015Always use Neem but also use Safer caterpillar killer. Those worms can destroy a crop in one day. Try to do preventative spray in spring and intervals after to maintain. Only a few problems this year. Last year they were so bad at around August. Here in California that is the prime for those butterflies.
