Susan on Aug 08, 2016If you have existing knobs, but they are the wrong color, I found great success in thoroughly cleaning and the using Rust-Oleum to revive cabinet hinges in brushed nickel to match all my new light fixtures, door knobs, etc. It was some work, but it looks great.Helpful Reply

Jr1012 on Aug 08, 2016Home Depot has a number of Knobs around the dollar mark, but considering the price of any new major appliance $100-200 is not a lot to spend to freshen up your kitchenHelpful Reply

Mo on Aug 08, 2016When I had a similar problem I bought some broom handles, but bamboo canes could be used, and sawed them into short length to suit the size knobs needed. Then drill two holes about half way into the rounded part of the "knobs". Line them up with the knob positions on the cupboards. Then from inside the cupboard screw the new knobs/handles in place. =^..^=Helpful Reply

Nadine on Aug 08, 2016All the above are great ideas. But if you cannot afford to spend any money, then you should buy a can of spray paint and spray paint your existing cabinet knobs. You can paint them a hold accent color or a new metal finish. Having a new color/finish on the existing knobs will make a big impact.Helpful Reply

Rhonda S on Aug 10, 2016Check the phone book for a ReStore in your area. These architectural salvage places often have hardware for a fraction of what you night spend elsewhete. An idea to unify different shapes or deaigns might be spray paint in one color or in different shades of the same color. That w ay of you find several different styles they would still look as if they all belonged.Helpful Reply

Annie Doherty on Aug 11, 2016Some great ideas above, in addition to painting them you could decorate the existing knobs if they fit your new scheme. Use wrapping paper with a design to contrast with your units. Cut it to size, either a paper with medallions or similar, use a craft glue to affix then seal with several coats of matt varnish. Good as new and very effective and cheap.Helpful Reply
