How to Gild a Mirror {Solid Gold, Baby!}

I spotted this vintage Hollywood Regency style gold mirror sitting at my local thrift. And I knew it HAD to be gilded. Only $7.50 for the mirror, plus some beautiful gold liquid gilding, and the result is a beautiful statement piece for our entryway. This technique can be used on mirrors, frames, and other home decor items if you want to embrace the gold trend. Here is how I did it!

Fiona Janine on Nov 06, 2015How much paint did you use for this project? I have a cool vintage mirror that I'd like to guild. After seeing your blog, I ordered one jar. Do you think that's enough?
