Table Skirt Wine Rack

I bought an oak table top for $20 at a second hand store. The piece was already stripped so I thought it was a steal.
I forgot to take a picture of the top with the skirt that was attached to the table top. Below is a picture of a similar table with the skirt so you have an idea of what I started with.
I removed the skirt from the table top. It was in two pieces and the screw holes lined up perfectly so I got an idea. I stained each piece and let them dry.
I then cut some dowel pieces roughly 4 inches long and inserted them into the holes.
I joined the two pieces with the dowels and then stained the dowels.
I purchased two black iron shelf brackets and mounted them to the wall. I rested the table skirt assembly on the brackets.
I now have a one-of-a-kind wine bottle and wine glass holder for the cost of 4' dowel. I think it is reminiscent of wine barrel staves.
