Vintage Wardrobe Makeover

Found this beauty down the street curbside...not made of anything fancy...but I had a vision
Painted with a homemade, dark grey chalk paint and cream on the inside roof and back wall, just so it wouldn't be too dark
Sanded and coated with a layer of wax...not all that fancy expensive wax...I have found that regular ole furniture wax does the same thing as all those specialized ones
Designed my own stencils, cut from vinyl and fancied up the drawers
So great, and so many potential uses. It has a dowel on the right side, so you can hang clothes or displaying blankets
There was mirrors in both the door openings, but to me, they dated the piece. So I removed them and replaced with hardware store chicken wire, stapled with 1/2" staples to the inside track where the mirror went. Added some new knobs in a punchy green colour
Voila....great versatile piece.
Suggested materials:
  • Home made chalk paint, furniture wax, vinyl
