An American Chest

I bought this chest at a thrift store. It looked very elegant, but needed some improvement. I decided to keep the wood color, but adding some visual interest to it...
As usual, the first step was sanding until I had bare wood.
Once again, I wanted to paint an antique label on it. I followed exactly the same steps as I explained in a previous post: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/kitchen-dining/kitchen-dining-furniture/painting-a-vintage-label-19341264
Transferred drawing to the door...
...and started painting.
This shows how I advanced wiht painting the label.
And the label finished! I shaded it with some dark wax at the end.
I cut the paper label in parts to transfer to the drawers. I wanted to give the idea of drawers made with parts of vintage crates.
Painted frames black, and this is the final result!
Before and after! interesting change!
