Decorating With Memories and a Little Red Ladder

I am a memory decorator. Simply put, that means that I like to incorporate items that have been handed down to me into my decorating.
Take this chippy red ladder covered in paint spatter and barely held together with some old rusted nails. This ladder was given to me by my Dad and it was given to him when he was building his house (he and my mom's) by his Mother.
The ladder has seen better days for sure but I like to use it when decorating. I've used it in the past to hold natural bird feeders that I made with my youngest son (you can see that post here Bird Feeders and Treats to Make with the Kids
And this year it's tucked away from the elements in my sunroom and is holding plants....and something with a very special story associated to it - hint - can you find the turtle? If you have and you would like to find out what makes him special I would love for you to stop by the blog (link below) and find out more.
